Did a quick inspection of the brake pads on my 2019 Mazda CX-5 and they seem like they're near the end of their life. There is still som meat left, but I want to replace them, so I'm looking for recomendations. Should I go oem or are there some aftermarket options that are better?

OEM pads are reliable and fit perfectly, but some aftermarket brands like Bosch or Akebono offer better performance and less noise so i depends if you want stock feel or a bit more stopping power

I mean, I wouldn't mine better stopping power, I'm more concerned about poor quality, and since I had no experience with aftermarket parts, I wasn't sure which brands to go for or avoid. How are they priced compared to the OEM ones?

@Naturalintelligence If you're looking for a noticeable upgrade in stopping power, you might want to look at EBC Brakes.
Their Greenstuff or Redstuff series pads are a popular choice. They're more performance oriented, so they'll give you a firmer pedal feel and a better bite.
a bit more expensive than the OEM, but the difference in feel is worth it to a lot of people.
Just stay away from no name brands you find on Amazon, those are just poor quality

Akebono and Centric provide OEM-quality parts without breaking the bank, while Wagner OEX is a reliable choice for everyday driving. If you're looking for performance, EBC stands out as the top option. For regular use, Akebono ceramics really shine when it comes to minimizing dust and noise.
