Worth doing the latest firmware update on the CX-5?

Been hearing a few people mention recent firmware updates for the CX-5 infotainment system especially on 2018–2021 models with the older mazda connect supposedly helps with things like faster boot times, better carplay or android auto stability, and fewer random reboots. I'm running an older version and debating whether it's worth going to the dealer or trying to DIY it with a USB stick. Also, any idea if the update does anything under the hood beyond infotainment, like tweaks to safety features, sensor calibration, or minor drivetrain improvements cos I've kind of noticed that mazda is not always clear about what each update covers.

Yeah, I heard about that CX-5 update too but I never got around to doing it. I heard from my friend who did that it def helps with smoother CarPlay and cuts down the annoying reboot sh!t. I believe it's better to ask the help of a dealer on this. I doubt it's gonna cost anything. Idk if this is gonna do anything for the parts under the hood tho? Maybe? You can ask them.

Yeah, there definitely has been a few quiet firmware pushes lately that improve stability and reduce those annoying random reboots but most of it is infotainment related though there hasn't been anything huge no drivetrain or safety feature changes from what anyone has confirmed.
