New Member on my Second CX-5

Purchased a CX-5 Signature in early 2023, rebounding from Covid-19. My first Mazda after 7 German cars (2 Audis, 5 BMW's). Happy with my decision.

Went back to the Chicago area dealer in March 2025, trying to decide if I should trade then or wait for a 2026.

Purchased a new CX-5 Signature at that time, seemingly the best decision given the 2026 reports.

Welcome to the community! Two CX-5s in a couple years tells us you really love what Mazda's doing here, especially coming from the German side. What's been the biggest difference for you switching over to Mazda?

It was a fluke that I got the first CX-5. At the time, BMW was having supply issues with German-assembled cars due to the Ukraine war. (As I understand, wiring harnesses were manufactured there). I looked at a couple other luxury brands, and wasn't interested. Then a friend mentioned Mazda to me. I've mostly had Bose hi-fi systems in my cars (I'm a retired sound engineer) and that got me into a dealership. They're comfortable, powerful, and quiet.
